A beautiful dedication...

Halloween is around the corner...

We've been getting a lot of stuff done around here like collecting leaves, planning classroom parties, decorating the house, and planning costume stuff.

We went to Pumpkinville and bought pumpkins, corn stalks and mums...

Mema and I couldn't wait to get home and show our autumn spirit...

I love fall decorations.

We came back from Vince's birthday dinner and found a goody bag on our doorstep with a note saying that we'd been BOOed with instructions on how to make copies and pass it on...

It was so fun!

I tried to start a Facebook Boo thing with the same idea, but nobody participated...humpf...

Lula had so much fun putting our cute little homemade ghosts in our tree. I had the idea that Lula would hold them while I hang them, but as it turned out Lula hung some on the low branches that she could reach...it looked more amazing than I had originally anticipated.

As for Halloween costumes, Lula wants to be Pegasus which works out nicely because it's what Mia was last year and the costume we already have is absolutely adorable.

Kobe wants to be Harry Potter, again not too hard when he already resembles the character in looks (including the lightning bolt scar). Mia wants to be a werewolf...?? I have no idea why, I keep asking her to just be a dog of some sort, but she insists on being a werewolf this year. We'll see how that works out...

I've been blogging for almost one whole year so I'm trying to come up with ideas for my one year blogging anniversary...

Waiting for "Fall"...

I'm not sure what to expect for the fall in Williamsburg. I know I'm not quite expecting an Adirondack fall, but hopefully it will be stunning.
I've asked everyone who is willing to answer my big question...
"What is the fall like here"?
Nobody has been really interested or enthusiastic about answering that question. Although most of the people I ask are moms who just gave birth to a baby a day or so ago...hmmm...that may have something to do with it.

I have noticed a few trees in the past couple of days...




Things are definitely happening...

I'm helping out in Mia's classroom tomorrow, we're painting autumn T-shirts to wear on our field trip next week. We're going to the Yorktown State park to see the autumn colors. Mia's teacher has been doing this for a few years so there MUST be a sight to see...the leaves, the colors, the autumn, ya know...there must be .

We haven't been to a "Bankers" style apple orchard yet, not really a big thing here...but we did buy fresh apples at a local farm. We had a lot of fun just exploring and just being together. It was peaceful and nice with fresh air and soft smells...
