We've been reading, reading, reading...

We know how important it is to practice reading all summer long.
So in between swimming at the pool, playing soccer in the field, and biking around the neighborhood we try to find time to sit down and read.
Sometimes it's hard...



...but not when you have so many four-legged furry friends as an audience.




They were such a good audience too!




We joined the "Reading for Paws" summer reading program at the local library and LOVED it!

Kobe stayed with the same dog for the whole hour... :)

Staying cool...

We had to limit the amount of trips out of the house because it's so hot.

So one of those trips out was a visit to the Yankee Candle Flagship, Williamsburg Va.

We made dog shaped candles...

Kobe-hand shaped candles...

and horse shaped candles.

We played with huge stuffed animals...

got snowed on INDOORS...

and stuck our hands in more candy than we could ever imagine eating...

This was a lot of fun. We were so wiped out from the heat, sugar and snow that when bedtime came it was eagerly welcomed...
