A Mother's work is never done...

I just got ready to settle down with a nice hot cup of Earl grey after doing the dishes. I walked into the living room where Lula had been playing and was in shock by what I saw.

She literally dumped both toy baskets, ripped Barbie's legs off, opened every VHS and threw it's cover ...in a matter of 10-15 minutes.

When I asked her WHAT she was doing, she said..."feeding the horses some hot dogs".

I'm getting that feeling again....

That baby itch

I've been feeling that way since one of my best friends had her baby recently....then it slowly drifted away because of distractions....

...then when we were decorating the Christmas tree, Lula (the "baby") was leaving the metal ornament hooks all over the floor. I turned to her and said..."Don't leave those where the baby can"....I paused in confusion. I was talking to the "baby".

That feeling came back, but even stronger this time. There is no baby to get into those dangerous metal ornament hooks. Because the "baby".....

is no longer a "real" baby. She an adorable little independent girl....

who no longer has baby toys and baby clothes or even diapers.
She is an adorable little independent girl ....

who has little girl toys and little girl clothes and wears her own little underbundies.
