All in one week...

It was a little bit of a busy week around here. We had an amazing Easter, an extra day off from school, doctors visits, and report cards.

Kobe got straight A's...yay! Mia dropped just a few grade
points...it's funny when I asked her about it she gave me a really confused look and said "where did I drop them?"

Lula was at the doctor because she's been choking on her food...sigh...
It's always really difficult when Lula gets sick because she has a REALLY hard time coping with her ailments. Anyhow, the Doc said that nothing is wrong and to just move on...it will take a little convincing Lula to follow suit.

I have to say that one thing I've noticed in the past week is how incredibly big my children have gotten.

Sweet Mia...

Need I say more, I think this picture of Kobe explains it all...

OK...I am not going to post pregnancy pictures of me every week...but I think it's crazy how much bigger I am this week...(week 31) than last week. I feel enormous, everything aches and I'm almost never comfortable...

Awwww Spring!

Everywhere I look spring is present...
Flowers are blooming, trees are budding, allergies are flaring. and fresh fruit is more vibrant!
Here in Williamsburg spring has sprung and the warm weather is coming forth...

We've really been enjoying ourselves.
The Clarks came to visit for a week and we had a blast. We had 7 kids and 5 adults under 1 roof for a week and it could not have gone smoother. We had plenty of space, a good routine and lots of sunshine.

It was funny because my neighbor came to me a couple days ago and asked if I was tired from such a busy week...I had to think about it for a minute because I am definitely tired, but not from being busy...
it was actually the opposite...now that I'm not busy I have time to think about being tired, so I'm more tired.
Make sense?
Anyhow we really miss the Clarks and can't wait to do this again!

Yesterday we had our last April visitors. Ashley, Darren and the gals. We had a great time just catching up. I ended the night picking ticks out of my girls heads from the backyard. Craziness...(Ash I hope you didn't end up finding any)

As I close I must say that I feel amazing right now! I'm now 30 weeks and don't remember feeling this great with any of my others at this point in the pregnancy. I'm getting around very well, lots of energy and am still very flexible. I'm doing yoga-style stretching almost every night.

I can't believe that I have only 10 weeks left (maybe 12...they are always late). We are really excited to meet this little monkey. We still haven't settled on a name...we may just wait to meet him first...

It's been way too long...

I know...I know...
I have a broken camera so I haven't posted in a LONG time...

Anyway...

We're all doing very well and I feel amazing, I sometimes forget that I'm even pregnant because I feel that great. I'm 27 weeks now and can't believe the little bit of time I have left...yay!! I really do want to cherish these days and just remember what it's like to be pregnant because we're pretty sure this will be the last (as most of you heard me say all the time during my very ill days)
Danny is traveling right now, he'll be in Ethiopia until the beginning of May and we REALLY miss him. I know we've done this a handful of times before, but we extra-miss him this time.

Even though it's been a few short weeks he's going to be shocked at how much the kids have grown...
Lula is such a big-little girl now. Her hair is amazingly long (still full of ringlets), her legs are sooooo long and she knows sooooo much. She is incredibly smart, genuinely kind, and pretty darn funny...I love her sooooooo much!

Kobe is really truly turning into a young man. He is abruptly approaching teen-hood. It's funny because I always thought that as the kids get into a more independent stage I will have to supervise less of the time than more. I found that this is not the case. Actually I have been so challenged by this next stage of supervision than ever! It's not as easy as putting safety plugs in the electrical outlets, removing objects that are small enough to fit inside a toilet paper roll, setting up block towers just for demolition, or even playing the roll of princess Leia ALL DAY LONG.
No, it's different.
It's watching my boy make mistakes that I can't stop him from making because it's a learning process. Things that I know are making him suffer, but he couldn't possibly understand unless he's suffered through them. I love him and I need to keep him closer than ever.

I am always amazed at how Mia is so incredibly peaceful, loving, caring, and just so well balanced at such a young age. She really understands more than you could ever imagine a 6 year old understanding. What really impresses me is how caring she is. I mean extra extra extra caring. She is genuinely concerned about every ones well being and strives to be the best person she can be. As a matter of fact I heard her downstairs this morning coaching Lula on some good healthy eating tips. She even reminded Lula very kindly that she should only have a half a piece of cheese because she has a tendency to get constipated easily...I love her sooooo much...

I am so blessed and grateful for my amazing family...God is good!!
